My son got this seat at 2yrs 10 months.He is very tall torso wise.At a 16 inch torso and 31 lbs he has plenty of years left.Extended harnessing is definitly used in our home.This seat is comfortable and very well made.We love britax.

My son uses a britax regent as well as some other harnessed seats and a booster. The regent stays in grandma's car because it is the easiest for her to adjust and use properly. Adrian is 4 1/2 years old and 40 lbs and has loads of room to grow in this seat!

There is nothing I don't like about this car seat. My son fits great in it and can nap while on long trips with out his neck slupming over. The side nets are great for water bottles and small toys. The Regent is the only car seat on the market, at the time of purchase, that was able to provide us with harnessing our son to proper booster age. I bought the Britax Regent when my daughter had just turned 4. She was nowhere near ready to sit in a booster seat, and I had a hard time finding anything else that she fit properly in. This seat allowed for the most growing room and was comfortable for her.
